That fits about Hemingway and his larger than life persona. I heard that he was also a functioning alcoholic which sadly can be a problem for undiagnosed neurodivergent people. I'm glad that Alicia is on the mend.
One of the problems I have with sunscreen is that I hate the greasy, heavy feeling on my skin plus even unscented varieties always seem to have some smell to them that will become very annoying if it lingers around too much.Thats one way that my sensory sensitivities manifest.
I've heard people speculate that Ernest Hemingway may have been dyspraxic. Some biographers have said that he could never actually type his drafts and had to have his wife do it for him.
Wow, the sunburn on Alicia's feet sounds like one of the worst sunburns I've ever heard described! Has it gotten any better?
I seem to have been born with "built-in Mediterranean sunblock" that prevents me from burning too badly and often I just tan. But sometimes I have to remind myself not to rely too heavily on that and actually apply sunscreen Lol.
Hemingway possibly being dyspraxic is actually fascinating. Never heard that before. Makes you wonder how much of that larger-than-life persona was built around workarounds for stuff he couldn’t name at the time. I read somewhere he often dictated because typing was hard for him, which would definitely track.
Yep Alisha's feet are finally back to looking like human skin! That was brutal. 😆
Also same here with the sun. I don’t burn either, just go straight to tan, no matter how long I’m out. But yeah, sunscreen is one of those “I should do this” things that never quite makes it into the routine lol
That's a good point about Hemingway’s larger than life persona. I don't know how true this is,but I've heard that he may also have been a functioning alcoholic.

One thing I don't like about sunscreen is it's greasy heavy feeling on the skin. Plus even non-scented varieties still seem to have some degree of fragrance to them which gets annoying if it lingers around one’s vicinity for too long.

Have you tried the sprays? I prefer that over the lotion for the exact reasons you just said!
I haven't tried the sprays yet. I'll have to look for some spray on sunscreen next time I'm go shopping.
