Thank you for the mention 🙏 I really appreciate that.🙂 Yep, I'm hoping to bring more awareness to the US of dyspraxia as a unique neurotype in it's own right.
I totally understand about disruptions, especially when doing something like writing that can require a lot of sustained deep thought. I'm very much the same way. I sometimes fantasize about having a book or two that becomes such a prolific bestseller that I can pay someone to cook my meals and do all of my housework so that I can just focus on writing, working out, and possibly make a bit more time for some stuff that I truly enjoy doing like flintknapping and shooting traditional archery. Yep, I’m living proof that it is possible to engage in shooting sports as a dyspraxic without causing any catastrophic or potentially tragic accidents. Of course, much of that will probably depend on how the dyspraxia manifests within an individual. You'd never see me taking up skiing or snowboarding though 😆.
When I was learning about dyspraxia in the UK, I used to joke with other dyspraxics that I have the US version of dyspraxia where a person can either become an adept marksman or a safe driver, possibly neither, but not likely both 😆
Of course! Your work deserves the spotlight. I love how you’re pushing the convo forward in your own way. And that US dyspraxia joke is brutal and perfect 😂😂😂
