A single tree grew at the edge of the grove.
Its trunk curved early, once near the base, again near the middle. One branch split wide and low, steady enough to hold weight. The bark felt smooth on one side, ridged on the other. Each surface responded to something specific—light, air, touch, time.
Season by season, the tree adjusted its growth. A shift here. A stretch there. Always quiet, always exact. Water moved toward the roots in small streams. Sunlight filtered through in the right amount. Birds arrived and made homes that stayed full.
Nearby trees stood taller, but this one offered cover where it mattered. Shade reached farther. Ground stayed softer. The shape held everything that needed holding.
A person walked past once, then again, then made a habit of returning. First they stood. Then they sat. Then they brought something to carry—a notebook, a tool, a lunch packed the same way every day. The space welcomed routine. Every detail supported rest.
The tree kept growing. No part copied another. No part asked permission.
Every direction answered a signal.
Every curve followed sense.
The shadow matched the world it moved through. The roots held. The branches reached. Everything stayed in place, and everything remained in motion.
This is a good life.

Reminds me of my Wisdom Tree, she's a beautiful old tree, the perfect tree climbing tree with grand, wide branches (if I were 9 years old, I'd never come down.) I sit in her every day when the weather allows!
Love this thank you 🙏
